Steve Wickham started his career as a young session musician in 1982 playing with
U2 on their first big breakthrough album 'WAR' and on the seminal "Sunday Bloody Sunday". In 1985 Wickham became a member of The
Waterboys. In the intervening years Steve has played with many Artists on some great tracks like
Elvis Costello's "Lady Macbeth", Sinead O’ Connor's "I am stretched on your Grave", The Waterboys' "Fisherman's Blues".
Cali contacted Steve in 2005 and asked him to play on his
Menteur album and after a great experience recording in Ireland and France, Steve joined Cali for his shows in Paris. The show, in 'The Village,Dublin, will see Steve support Cali with his own ensemble . They will be playing material from Steve's solo album entitled
Geronimo. |
