Sébastien Tellier is an exceptional, highly personal and intimate artist echoing such other one-offs as Robert Wyatt or Serge Gainsbourg. His first album, L'incroyable Vérité was released in 2001 on the French band Air's label. His international fame started in 2003 when Sophia Coppola used his song “Fantino” in the soundtrack of Lost in Translation. In 2004 Sébastien Tellier released Politics whose single "La Ritournelle" became a huge hit in France and received critical acclaim in England. In 2005 he toured with Air, Moby, The Magic Numbers, and remixed Eurythmics, Hot Chip and Phoenix. He has released since two collections, Sessions in 2005, an acoustic version of his repertoire, and Universe in 2006, a compilation for the English market. His new album is scheduled for September 2007.
